WAPA TAPA is a family-run tapas restaurant bar located within the heart of the legendary Yumbo Centre in Playa del Inglés (Gran Canaria) and strives to offer an ever-evolving and imaginative mix of speciality Spanish and international tapas and a balanced selection of Spanish wines and international drinks at best value for money.
Our philosophy ‘tapas con coraz🖤n’ or ‘tapas with heart’ is at the core of everything Adrian and Carlos and their staff do, both in and out of the kitchen, and has enabled us to develop special and ongoing relationships with our customers from both home and abroad.
Our brand new restaurant bar has been built to our own design and specifications and promises to deliver the same intense tapas experience as the previous one but in a more comfortable and contemporary setting and with significantly enhanced COVID-19 social distancing capabilities.

Most of our tapas are designed to be shared between two people. Three or so tapas per person will usually be sufficient to fill you up while leaving a little room for pudding. A couple would therefore be likely to choose six or seven different tapas to share between them.
We also offer a great value Chef’s Tapas Selection including wine for 45,95€ per person (minimum two people sharing) and we would be happy to provide you with more details.

Booking Guidance
The simplest and most reliable way to book a table at WAPA TAPA is by completing and sending us the form below.
We also welcome bookings via our Facebook page (WAPA TAPA) or WhatsApp (+34 650 001 739).
Whichever method you choose, please be sure to provide your name, desired booking date and time, number of diners and contact number.
We very much welcome children of all ages though do not offer a dedicated children´s menu. For logistical purposes please do let us know how many children under 13 are included in your group and whether there are any high chair requirements.
The Yumbo Centre has good facilities for the disabled including lifts, ramps and toilets. Please do let us know if your group includes any wheelchair users when booking in order for us to ensure that appropriate arrangements are made.
Please remember that some periods during the year are busier than others and we always recommend that you book as far in advance as possible in order to avoid disappointment.
If you are booking at short notice it would also be useful if you indicated your flexibility regarding possible dates and timing.
In certain circumstances we may ask for a non-refundable deposit.
We do our best to respond to any booking requests within 24 hours. Please understand that we cannot usually respond to messages received during the service until afterwards.
